MISSION 6

We took off with 500 lb. bombs to bomb Vienna, Austria. We had a terrific undercast (sic) all the way to the target. The target was partly open. The Germans had started to smoke over the city. We started on a bomb run and then stopped, turned out and made a half circle of Vienna. We started on another run which we didn't complete. We got only a little flack because they were probably saving up for the last part of the bomb run.

We didn't drop our bombs. Everyone was mad because we could see the target and still brought them back. This should have been a double mission also.
