One of the pearl gouramis I bought on Thursday is eating fine, but the other one gets the food into his mouth, and then spits it back out. I've been watching him, and I don't think he's actually swallowed any food since I brought him home. Otherwise he seems OK.

Is this maybe just a stress thing from being moved, or something more serious? Or maybe nothing to worry about?

Thanks,
-Josh

Ok.

It'll be several days at least before I can get out there. In the meantime I'll keep and eye on him and see if he gets better.

Just an update. After I posted I tried feeding the gouramis freeze-dried bloodworms, and eventually the little guy managed to get one down (meanwhile the female was gorging herself). The next day he was completely better, and is now very colorful. I think the pair may even spawn soon.
