I have a tank that is 3 months old. Is it OK to start the UV Sterilizer now?

You can turn the UV sterilizer on at anytime, just watch your tank temperature to make sure you stay in the safe range.

I have a 90 gallon salt tank that is cycled (about 3 months old) With a UV Sterilizer. I have been fearful of turning it on. Someone told me that it will kill off all the Nitrogen cycle bacteria too.
