Hi all, Long time reader, first time poster.

I am in the process of breaking down my 75 gal saltwater tank and converting it to freshwater.

I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on how best to clean the tank.

I also have 50 lbs of live rock that needs a home. Will it keep in a bucket of saltwater.

Can I reuse the biowheels that I had been using.

Also, I have a 37 gal freshwater tank and I will be moving the inhabitants to the larger tank. Should I cycle the new tank first, or try to reuse most of the water and filter material. I have 4 large angel fish that I have had for over 2 years as well as 2 silver dollars and 2 giant danios. Thanks for your help.

I guess you are saying that there is no quick way to get the tank clean.
Can the biowheels be reused or do I need to replace them?

Also, should I let the tank go through a cycle before adding the fish from my existing tank?
thanks

I guess you are saying that there is no quick way to get the tank clean. SHOULD TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR...BASICALLY YOU ARE CLEANING USED EQUIPMENT.
Can the biowheels be reused or do I need to replace them?
THROW 'EM AWAY.

Also, should I let the tank go through a cycle before adding the fish from my existing tank? YES, AFTER YOU RINSE EVERY THING YOU'LL HAVE ALL NEW STERILE EQUIPMENT.
