I actually like the Seapora construction the best. Call, email or stop by for details. ------------------------------------ Some of the sometimes confusing things about tanks: All tanks should be situated somewhere sturdy, flat, and level. Dimensions are L x W x H in aprox inches. Water weighs aprox 8.5 pounds per gallon, figure 10 with the glass and gravel. so: a 75 gallon tank weighs about 750 pounds full, but: that 750 pounds is actually spread out by 11 linear feet: so 68 pounds per linear foot, or: 6 square feet : 125 pounds per square foot. SO: any standard aquarium is safe in most standard houses (make sure you are to code) ... it can be an issue when you stack tanks. Aqueon and Marineland offer both black silicone or clear, but not in all sizes. All 3 have only black trim. Seapora tanks seem to have ONLY all black silicone. 36 x 18 tops are different Breeder from 65 gallon, all brands. Seapora tops do NOT fit at all on Marineland tanks. Seapora tops MAY fit Marineland tanks, and vice versa (Ned : test) Seapora, marineland and aqueon stands all fit each others tanks. Aqueon (may the flea in the nostril of this camel eat not its last brain cell) no longer makes: ANY stands at all ANY 36 x12" tanks ANY sense to have it exist as an entity ANY lights that are not bat cave dim ... ... they still get an A+ for safely packaging the versa top glass covers Seapora & Marineland : the stands look the same, pine with a panel door, Seapora offers oak stained or painted black. Aqueon and Marineland are both owned by Central Pet, last I knew. I can do an hour about mergers on my soap box in the park... maybe if I'm feeling pissed off and verbose on my Ned face book page ... |
