About a month ago I purchased two medium sized ($25) Gold Sevrums from you. What appeared as agressive behavior now seems to be a mating pair. I have a couple of questions:
1.) Eggs have been laid on the backside of a lava rock in a 55 gallon tank and both fish seem to be guarding the area and fanning the eggs. Does this actually indicate the pair is a male and female? Or would a female lay eggs w/o a male?
2.) I was under the assumption because I purchased the smaller Sevrums that it would be some time before they were even old enough to breed. I guess like our teenagers this is not the case?
3.) What is the liklihood of success w/ this spawn and how often is it likely to occur? The tank has about a dozen other smaller chiclids.
I have a couple of other questions but will stop by the store.
