Hello,

A few weeks ago I added two (what I think are) apistogramma cacatoides to a community tank (55 gallons). For reference they look like this:

http://www.gcca.net/fom/fom_pix/Apistog ... catoides_2

Anyway, I've had a smallish (2 1/2 inches or so) red tailed shark in the tank since before I got them. For weeks they lived together just fine, but recently the red tailed shark has started chasing them all over the place, and they are completely stressed out, and probably not far from dying. The only thing I can think of is that the shark is confused and thinks they are other r.t. sharks (with their orange tail and grey bodies).

I'm reluctant to remove either type of fish as they obviously did fine together for a while. I'm hoping that someone has some experience in a similar situation and might be able to help me out of it!

By the way, the tank has about 30" worth of fish in it, the shark being the most aggressive (only one r.t. shark).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mark
