The other day, I (mistakenly?) bought some food: Omega One - Marine Flakes. It says, "Natural Protein Formula - Made with Fresh Seafood" and "Saltwater Tropical Fish."

Doesn't sound very similar to what I've been feeding my fish so Far - Kelp Flakes and Veggie Flakes.

Can I feed them the Marine Flakes?

my fish - FW and marine - get the Omega One marine flake, veggie flake or kelp flake, First Flake, and Color Flake - I generally have one can of the veggie/kelp flakes and one of the "other" 3 open at any given time, and alternate which flake they get daily (as well as feeding frozen foods and the Omega1 shrimp pellets + kelp disks ).

Of course, alot depends on what cichlids you have - if you have herbivores I would lean more towards the veggie/kelp flakes, for omnivores or carnivores I would go with more of a mix.

Personally I always thought the marine flake looked like a blend of the veggie and "First" flakes (in terms of appearance anyways)...

of course, your milage may vary :)
