Hi, just curious if you might be able to source the following plants. They are NOT available (to my knowledge) through FAN. They're quite common in Europe, but not easily found in the U.S.; Cryptocoryne affinis NO idea why this isn't common here, other than that it grows better submerged than emersed (the commercially preferred, faster method). Nice medium sized crypt with a highly bullate surface, VERY common in the 60's to 70's, its apparently disappeared from the US market, but still as common in Europe as C. lutea is here. If you can find them, I'd buy 10+ of them. Seriously. Echinodorus angustifolius, AKA Helanthium angustifolius might be found under AKA Helanthium bolivianum 'Angustifolius' This kind of TALL chain-forming sword has recently been re-classified from Echinodorus (the rosette swords) to Helanthium (the chain swords). This is NOT the 'Vesuvius' one, which is a mutation of it (Echinodorus angustifolius 'Vesuvius'). I'm looking for the original species. Ditto on quantity desired. I know this is a long shot, but if never hurts to ask, right? THANKS!!! -Jane |

Wow, quite a list, but alas, neither plant on my quest is there. Rorippa aquatica is something one doesn't see every day, though. Interesting rosette plant, supposedly prefers cooler conditions. Well, thank you for posting the list. Do you know if this Asian List are sourced from Oriental Aquarium? They supposedly have E. angustifolia and Crypt affinis, but they might be a seasonally available thing. Again, THANK YOU for posting the list. -Jane |

Hi again. These guys seem to get their plants from Oriental Aquarium (the Tropica of Asia), since they show the OA Plant Reference book. I've read there are several Asian suppliers, but OA seems to be the best shipper. The Little Fish Co. only do wholesale - perhaps a request through them? http://www.littlefishcompany.com/Little ... /Home.html Sorry to hear you've had such dreadful experiences with plant shippers from Asia in general. -Jane |
