The purpose of this course is to familiarize the participant with the fundamental principles of koi and goldfish
management and medicine.
This course is open to veterinarians and non‐veterinarians alike
and is appropriate for hobbyists, aquaculturists, dealers, and professional aquarists.
Attendees will learn about the following topics:
water quality,
recirculating aquatic systems (with an emphasis on ponds),
diagnostic techniques,
environmental diseases, infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic),
therapeutics, anesthesia, analgesia, and surgery.
