Do you have a suggestion for a low grass that fish tend not to eat I bought some dwarf sag, but my fish ate it down to my gravel. All other plants are fine. |

Try the Crypt parva and Narrowleaf Chain Swords. both are thicker skinned than the dwarf sag. should have both by end of day thursday. - Sam |

you could try blyxa japonica or echinodorus tenellus micro. e tenellus micro turns pinkish if given enough light or in a low light setup it'll stay green. |

I haven't seen them being attacked. I have rainbows, dennison barb, Buenos aires tetra (my suspect), cherry barb, & a brushy nose pleco. None of my other plants have been touched. |

the bn pleco is absolutely the culprit. all of your broadleafed plants are at risk. best bet is to pick up a veggie clip from ned and keep some blanched vegetables available for feeding. once he gets a taste for a plant its done for. if the vegetables keep it happy, you might be able to keep it away from your plants. smaller plants like the ones that myself and sam suggested are pretty good bets. i would personally suggest e tenellus micro. i have some extra kicking around. my bn hasnt touched it yet |

I picked up Narrowleaf Chain Sword yesterday. I put the algae discs in my tank for the BN. I've never had to put in veggies. What kind do you suggest and what's easiest/quickest way to blanch? |

we use the veggies RAW just weigh them down (veggie cilp, rubber band on a rock) we use mostly butternut squash and cucumber |

I suggest the shrimp raw also if you cook them you make the cooking water nutritious (soup is for humans) |
