Hello,

I had a beautiful 30 gallon freshwater tank about 16 years ago, and one of the species was a small, eel-like bottom feeder with black and yellow stripes, about 4" long, 1/4" high and slender. I was told at the time that they were a type of loach, however all pictures I see of loaches do not look as eel-like as the ones that I had. I really loved these fish and hope to set up a new tank this year and wonder whether anyone would be able to tell me what they were. I find that some fish that were common years ago are less so now.

Thank you for any insight.

Rachel
