| from the Vice President of NADA, John Nicholson... Fellow Discus Lovers, As the Vice-President of the North American Discus Association I would like to invite each and every one of you to NADA’s 2010 discus only show in Dallas, Texas on June 10-13th. This show is important for numerous reasons, first and foremost it is time for NADA to shine. Since our inception in 2004 we have been scratching and clawing in an attempt to grow and become a club that we can all be proud of. We have finally achieved a very important goal in that we are going to have our very own discus only show. While sponsorships and donations are welcomed, what we would really like to see is participation. The club can only be as strong as its membership. Most will consider participation as simply showing up, but we would like to push this further. While we have a very strong lineup of speakers and a potentially outstanding auction, the real reason that we are coming together is the fish show. I know a lot of hobbyists do not believe their fish can compete at this level. Well I have news for you - THEY CAN! Over the many years that I have been in this hobby I have seen a small number of hobbyist entries. All of these entries had one thing in common, when the judging came around they all did well. I realize that traveling with fish these days can be a hassle, but there are a lot of us on the forums who have shipped fish and are willing to help. Wouldn't it be great to say that you won something at the very first NADA show? Being in the first set of winners is something that can never be taken away or repeated. There will only be one set of first time winners. All details can be found at our website at www.discus2010.com .
