Hello all,

For those of you who don't already know, SNEKA stands for the Southern New
England Killifish Association. Any one interested in killifish is welcome
to attend a meeting, join the club or just hang around. This will be our
second meeting. Our only membersip requirement is that you be a member of
the American Killifish Association. Meeting attendees are asked to donate a
pair of killifish or other killifish related items for a small, silent
auction, or $2. The money will be used to bring new killifish into the
club, with the goal of propagating the fish and distributing them throughout
the hobby.

We will have a meeting on Friday Night at the NEC convention either after
the plant auction, or at 10:30 PM if the plant auction is still going on.
The plan is to grab a table or 2 in the hospitality room. The tentative
agenda is a short formal meeting, followed by a discussion period, and then
a silent auction for any fish brought as donations. While we want to be
careful not to step on the NEC's toes by having a big auction, we may have
some people new to killiekeeping, so we should make a few pairs available.
Since there are generally few if any killies in the general auction, I don't
believe that we will impact the Sunday auction. That being said, please
bring only one pair of fish for the auction if you are comfortable doing so.
After the auction the informal discussion period will continue until
everyone either gets bored and drifts away, falls asleep, or we get kicked
out of the hospitality room ;-).

I plan to bring a young pair of Aphyosemion puctatum "Buong Bai" for the
auction. I also have available a couple of pairs of Austrolebias
nigripinnis Franquia, if anyone is interested.
