Looks like I have 3 Amano Shrimp left. One of them has some brown bags under its tail and is moving funny (curving/pulsing its tail). Is it sick and needs to be removed or could it be a female carrying eggs.
more likely a female
what are water tests reading? pH, alkalinity, etc

What do you think of red cherry shrimps as alternative to amanos? Have heard they are also good algae eaters and may even breed.
they eat a little algae, but not as well as Amanos, also they are so small
even apistogrammas eat them

The SEAs seem to like fish food better than algae.
it is true unfortuneately
... sometimes you need to starve the tank for 3 days to force them to nibble the beard algae
(which hopefully you don't have anyway)
Do I need to worry.
No, they are peaceful at all sizes
They are also growing quite quickly. Will the 8 SEAs be too big/too many for my 75g tank?
no
They are also quite hyper...
true, they don't go well with Discus, but outside of that they are harmless
