Here are the results for tonight's meetings and the topics covered:
For now I will be taking over the position of treasurer. Kurt Griffith will be taking over tracking membership.
This summer we have set up three separate trips.
Two trips are set up to increase relationships between LFS's and build club members. The last trip will be purely for members to visit an importer's/distributors fish room.
July 26th - Mass LFS Trip
Uncle Ned's Fish Factory
Tropical Isle Aquarium
Fish wholesaler/distributor
PM me if you're interested in going so we know how many people to expect and can firm up the date.
August 9th - CT LFS Trip
Aquatic Wildlife
Puppy Center
Harrison Wonderland
Exotic Super Pets
PM me if you're interested in going so we know how many people to expect and can firm up the date.
Last Trip:
August 23rd - Atlantis in Gardener, NY
We'll be leaving early and driving far. We need a count from the members who wish to attend.
Our Vice President, Chuck, will be working on the BAP program over the summer. By September I expect all members to have fish to bring in to earn BAP points.
We'll be modeling future bowl shows after the PVAS bowl show rules. For now, it'll be open class cichlids. As we get more entries into the bowl shows and people interested in showing their fish, we'll break out into separate classes. For now, just bring us your favorite cichlids.
The September edition of "The New England Cichlid" will be distributed as in the current format online.
We enjoyed pizza at the meeting.
We auctioned off a bag of food samples, one Synodontis multipunctatus and a pair of Neolamprologus buescheri "Zaire Gold"
If you know of anyone who'd like to join, membership is still $10. Have them contact Kurt.
If you can't make any of the summer trips, we'll see you in September.
Thanks,
Tim
NECA President
