Hi, I just recently set up a 55 gallon tank for Malawi Mbuna fish- my first with cichlids. Getting correct info is difficult at best. After consulting a web forum and books I think I have
3 Kenyi, 3 pseudotropheus elongatus or ornatus, 4 L. caeruleus.
the problem is with the Kenyi - I was told at the store they were 2 females and a male- I now think I have a female and 2 males. See
picture:
The first is the two males on top, the second is the female at the bottom (I think)
I don't want two males, don't have the slip any more from the store ( plus I didn't like them). Any way to trade for a female?? They were bought on Saturday ( 2 days ago). They seem healthy and happy , about 1 1/2 inches.
I will ask in another post about what else to put in there. I was afraid to put any more in but then read that overcrowding can reduce aggression.
Thanks, offthedeepend
