Just two weeks ago I got from Ned a pair of awanis. (Many thanks to Sam who carefully guessed a pair). They turned out to be completely different in color than in showroom aquarium - much darker with blue tint. Beautiful. They grow quite fast but they are peaceful - no harm or aggression to other fish.
And only in two weeks they bred and now female protects stone covered with eggs in plant debris (can't make any picture there). Wondering what would they do with fry - would they protect them or not ...
I also have my firemouth raising their fry, so others are just jumping from corner to corner.
Also I got a pair of Satanoperca daemon
and four Gymnogeophagus balzanii, two males are just beautiful when they're confronting each other by showing their fins.
