Hi Ned I have a L200 that never seems to be hungry. I tried everything you suggested and its still skinny. His fins arent clamped and he moves around alot. Someone in a fish forum suggested using Prazipro to treat possible worms. Any info or suggestions on prazipro or internal worms?

Those pitbull plecos are the best algae eaters/scavengers ive ever had and they dont mind the light.
Still have any awani left-think they would go with dorsigers
Thanks Scott S

DO NOT USE PRAZIPRO ON PLECOS AND CATS,
JUST CICHLIDS, AND ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE THE CICHLIDS HAVE WORMS.
PLECOS HAVE ALOT OF FLORA ND FAUNA IN THEIR GUT THAT ARE ESSENTIAL,
AND PRAZIPRO IS PROBABLY TOO STRONG.

FOR YOUR PLECO, I WOULD DO THE FOLLOWING:
MAXIMIZE OXYGEN, FILTRATION AND WATER FLOW...
TURN HEAT UP TO 81 DEGREES F. ...
PUT IN A REALLY GOOEY ALGAE COVERED DRIFTWOOD OR TWO...
PUT IN SOME FILTHY SPONGES FROM A TANK OF HEALTHY PLECOS...
AND / OR PUT SOME HEALTHY PLECOS IN HIS TANK...
AND / OR PUT SOME SOME ACTUAL EXCREMENT FROM HEALTHY PLECOS INTO THE SICK PLECO TANK...
THIS SPECIES IS AN OMVIVORE, OFFER MANY VARIED FOODS OFTEN...
INCLUDING
WASHED ROMAINE LETTUCE OR SUMMER SQUASH OR CANTALOUPE RIND (THE SWEETER THE BETTER)...
FROZEN BLOODWORMS AND MYSIS SHRIMP...
CRUSH A FEW SNAILS FOR HIM...
TABLET FOODS SUCH AS TETRA TABIMIM OR SERA O-NIPS...
HE IS PROBABLY NOCTURNAL SO GIVE HIM SOME SHADY HIDING PLACES OR LEAVE LIGHTS OFF

Those pitbull plecos are the best algae eaters/scavengers ive ever had and they dont mind the light.
IF THEY ARE DOING GOOD, TAKE THE FILTER PADS OR FOAMS FROM THEIR TANK AND PUT THEM IN THE L200's TANK.

AWANI CICHLIDS ARE STILL HERE AND DOING GOOD.

Thanks Ned- I put the L200 in with a big Trinadad pleco and now hes eating. I never would have thought to do that.

Thanks Scott S
