Hey Ned -

I mentioned today that I got a Biocube from my wife to set up for a nano-reef.

Here are the specs:

Size 14 (actaully holds about 10.5g of water)
24-watt 10,000K
24-watt True Actinic 03
Lunar Blue LED lights
And of course all the filtrations and pumps

What are your thoughts on the lighting? Too much?

I just thought I would share my experience with these.

You will absolutely find that you need to keep the cover up at all times because of the heat, so don't buy any "jumpers".
I would also buy a back up pump now. I have heard of a lot of these that have lost their pumps early on. I believe a Maxi Jet 900 and 1200 will fit.
The 1200 may cause more heat build up, so I'd probably stick with the 900 (in stock at Ned's).
I would also remove the bio balls from the get go. They keep it a little quieter, but also reduce the flow just a tad in the cubes. Replace them with some live rock frags, they will do a better job of biological filtration anyways.
Hope this is helpful in some way.
