Hey ned, I was in yesterday and bought some live rock. I was ecstatic to find a small tubeworm and some type of bivalve (maybe a scallop?) But then last night I saw a bristleworm ( I'm not grossed out easily, but this thing somehow did it for me) It was around 5-6" and pink, with white bristles. Any way I can capture it and either kill it, or are they useful?

Oh, and there's no way I'm keeping it alive in there :P.

to catch 'em

you can just wait 'til they crawl out at night then net 'em

or

you can take a tube or pipe
put some food in there
then pull the tube

they are useful to keep the tank clean
but too many big ones can be a nuisance

you can also put in an arrow crab (1 or 2 in stock now)
or a 6 line wrasse (3 or 4 expected late Friday),
both of which eat bristle worms
