Hello Ned and thank you for all your help.

I have .25 ammonia in my tank. I have a 90 gallon tank with a large eheim cannister as well as a wet dry. Should I open the canister and change out the water in it? The canister always seems to have lots of particulate matter in it. Should I always have the carbon in the eheim too?

Thanks!

NOT FATAL...BUT OF CONCERN IF YOU'RE TANK HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR MORE THAN 7 WEEKS...ARE YOU OVERFEEDING?>>YOU'RE FISH SHOULD FINISH THEIR FOOD IN 60 SECONDS.

I have a 90 gallon tank with a large eheim cannister as well as a wet dry. AMMONIA SHOULD BE ZERO WITH ALL THAT.

Should I open the canister and change out the water in it? YES>

RINSE THE MEDIA IN SALTWATER (IF IT IS A SALTWATER TANK)

Should I always have the carbon in the eheim too?
CARBON IS OPTIONAL, IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE CARBON, GET NEW FRESH CARBON EVERY 4 - 6 WEEKS.

Check your nitrite. If it's zero, youmight want to purchase a new ammonia test kit.
