Ned:
Late last week I purchased driftwood from you that I've not yet put into my tank. Further research over the weekend suggests that if your trying to maintain a higher Ph in a Chiclid tank do not use driftwood. Do you know this to be correct? If "yes" perhaps I can exchange the driftwood for some other decorative element.

sure,
you can exchange anything

but....the wood will not necesarily lower pH...I suggest you try it first
