I have had my Sunpod Metal Halide running now for over a year. I beleive it is time to replace the bulb. Which bulb do I need to get? I do not see any numbers written on the bulb. From the website these are my options.

150-watt 6500°K
150-watt 10000°K
150-watt 14000°K
150-watt 20000°K

I currently have live rock with a Pom Pom Xenia Coral and a green and orange zooanthid. The reason I think the light has died down is that coraline algae hasn't been growing recently and there is continuous growth of bad algae.

CUR BULB POWERPAQ MH 14K 150WT $62

CUR BULB POWERPAQ MH 10K 150WT $62

I will have both of the above this Friday night

There is also a 20K available I can have for Wednesday the 19th

basically the higher the K number the more blue it is

tecnically, the deeper the water your particular coral species is native to
the deeper you want your blue color to be

so
if you know you have shallow water corals you want 10K
mid water corals 14K
and
deep water corals 20K

since true experts are hard to find
most people who keep general coral tanks use 14K

67K looks very yellow
and is almost never used for saltwater tanks
______________

as far as your nuisance algae goes
there are many causes and solutions

too much light & not enough corals
too much duration of light
possibly wrong spectrum of light
poor water quality (not enough partial water changes)
most likely is not enough scavengers
not enough water flow
