I'm interested in getting a 4' x 2' x 2' (120 Gallon) freshwater tank setup, that I'm planning on planting as well as having fish. As this is going in my living room I'd like to get nice look stand an canopy that matches the rest of the wood (cherry), so I went looking on the (incredibly annoying) Oceanic website and found the following.
Tank 48.5" x 24.5" x 25" 120 gallon Cherry Oak Tank (20024)
Stand 49" x 25" x 32" Cherry Oak (60640)
Canopy 50" x 25" x 8" Cherry Oak (81850)
For a filtration system I've been looking at the Ehiem Pro II 2128.
I believe Ned is an Oceanic reseller and sells Ehiem, and I was wondering if I could get a price on what I've listed above.
I'll also obviously be in need of lighting, but I can't find any kind of information on why kind of lighting the Canopy allows for. Essentially I'm looking to have two sets of lights on separate timers that are about 120W each. (The goal here is to be have some versatility in the amount of light that is delivered). Any information/pricing I could get on lights of this nature that would fit the canopy would be appreciated.
I have a rather detailed question about the stand and canopy, specifically how wide are the openings in the back? I'm going to be placing this tank in the center of a room against a 2'3" square support pillar, and ideally I'd like the opening on the back to be 2'3" wide as well. I'm pretty sure, however, that it's not but I'd like to know what the actually width of the opening in the back is. I'd also like to know if it's possible to have the stand and canopy custom made such that the open is 2'3", and if so how much it would cost in terms of time and money. Do know if you how easy it is to find out these things, but I figured it can't hurt to ask.
Finally, none of what I've written above is set in stone yet, so any intelligent suggestions would be appreciated as well. I've been running a 40 gallon planted tanks for a few years now, so I know the basics, but this will clearly be the biggest tank I've ever owned.
