move the betta in a plastic bag with 1/3 water and 2/3 air
about a 6" bag with about 5 ounces of water

move the orandas in a 5 gallon bucket
with about 1 gallon of water
or enough water to cover them comfortably
(the air volume is more important than the water volume)

the fish should be safe for 6 hours or more

keep the betta above 55 degrees F and below 80 degrees F
while moving
keep the goldfish above 40 degrees F and below 75 degrees F
while moving

make sure the temperature of the new tank is moderate
say 72 degrees F
....also if you are using city water
(as opposed to your own well water)
be sure to use dechlorinator
..brand names include Novaqua, aquatan, tank safe, stress coat, etc.

don't scare yourself
