One of my 3 S. multipunctatus cats has what looks like a dime sized wound on his back, immediately after his dorsal fin. I first noticed it a couple of days ago (they spend most of their time hiding in caves they have excavated under the rockwork in the tank). I noticed it right after I had removed all the rockwork in order to catch a holding C. afra female and put her in a breeding basket. Since first seeing the wound, I have also observed one of the other cats chasing the wounded one around the tank.

Is there anything I can do to help this catfish heal? Unfortunately I don't have a hospital tank right now, as my 10 gallon is occupied by the last batch of fry.

My tank: 55 gallon, lots of rocks, coral sand/rift sand mix for substrate, 6 L. caerulus, 6 C. afra, 3 S. multipunctatus.

Thanks for all advice,
Chris

I would definately seperate the affected fish

if you can't get a spare tank
(you need one)
get a net breeder
