I have a couple of questions about the Sunpod 1061 24" 1 x 150 watt and the Sunpod 1062 30" 1 x 150 watt fixtures. I am trying to decide which one would be best suited for a 54 gallon corner tank. I only have live rock now but I want to put some corals in. Do people with the corner tanks usually hang these fixtures or sit them with the feet on the tank? Also would I just plug the light in and it run for 24 hours changing between the daylight and moonlight or does it need additional timers to do that? And with buying this light I would like to get a coral as well does anyone have suggestions to a beginners coral, this way I can have some practice before loading up the tank with expensive stuff.
