I have a well established 20 gal tank with about 7
tropical fish. I currently have some stoney gravel
that I am wanting to replace. I know there are
crucial bacterial colonies on the gravel, so I guess
my question is is there some way of replacing hte
gravel and not harming the fish? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Joey
When you are making a big disturbance like that,
it is best to catch the fish first
and keep them in a bucket for a half hour while you are working.
Don't worry too much about the beneficial bacteria.
You will still have plenty left alive in your filter pads.
