Looking for feedback from anyone who has tried this plant in a cichlid tank. I have a 90g with fieldstone and pool filter sand, tropheous, frontosa, calvus, brichadi...any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I keep some in all my shell-dweller tanks (actually all of my freshwater tanks, period)

Hi,

I also keep java moss in all my tanks. It appears the the hard alkaline water slows growth. The only problem is that I can not get enough.

sure
why not?

...just 2 notes

watch out the moss doesn't get _ up and clog your filter

also

Java moss doesn't mind cichlid salt but...
it won't like much sodium chloride

Thanks all for the feedback. Next question...what is the best way to get it started? I understand java moss works well with driftwood, how do I safely attach it to the driftwood, or anything else, in hopes that it takes off on it own. Thanks again for the feedback.

just wrap it around
maybe throw a rubber band around it
(we're low here on Java Moss by the way...I'm buying if anyone wants to sell some)
