For easy updates what we want is a content management system (CMS)

There are a number of them out there, both free and pay.
The BAS uses Joomla (joomla.org I think) for their site.
my cousin loves wordpress but I've only poked at it.

Rich Pierce did a very nice presentation on the new AKA site (plus his own site and the SNEKA site) at the BAS meeting monday.
He used WordPress as the website platform and it looks really nice (although I'm not personally crazy about the AKA forum software).

You may want to talk to him about using WordPress to setup a UNFF site
