This is my big male Geophagus "Duck Potato" pellegrini. He's the proud father of hundreds, some of which will soon be on sale at the fish factory, and once, he fit a full five frozen brine shrimp cubes in his mouth at once... can you say brain freeze?

Nice video.
He looks like he has a beak :D
How is this species temperament? Can it co-exist with south americans?

It's temperament is about average for an earth eater - closely related to the red-hump earth eater geo. steindachneri, but larger and significantly more mellow. Really the only aggression you should expect is with others of the same species. Ideal for a big south American tank, even with corys and bigger tetras. If you want multiples of this species, best to get a group of six or more, and as they grow up, reduce your group to a single male and any females you got... They are harem spawners.

There are 14 inchlings at the store ($25 ea)... I have about sixty more I'm holding onto... And that's about it for the trade at the moment... This is a Very rare fish! It's a real duck of a fish. Try m out.

I might try them! They seem like they will let my other fish alone, and are really unique!
