I put my not so red male texas in with the female flowerhorn 2 weeks ago, they started digging nests & changing their colors. This morning I woke up to brown eggs in one of the nest. Ive never breed fish before & was wondering what to do if the eggs are fertile & hatch?
I do have a 20 & 29gal sitting here if I need to setup if they hatch

well
if the pair are alone
they will probably raise the babys themselves

after the fry are free swiming you could set them up in their own tank

Unfortunately I lost the flowerhorn last week when she came down with red sores on her side. I did a treatment with E.M. Erythromycin but didn't save her.
Now the Texas has a red sore on his lip, between lip & nose & nostrils.

I wish I was closer, over an hour away from the Cape.

There was 3" of foam on top of the water this morning, is this normal with the powder medication? Mostly above the airstone.
