Hi Ned, I am getting alot of air into my canister(2217 classic). I checked all connections and there tight, the only thing I can think of is the intake double tap isnt seating correctly. There is no water leaking. It seemed to start when I put a Supreme prefilter on it if that helps.
Is this a problem that occainal occurs with this filter?
Thanks Ned

hmmm
don't know...
if it's not leaking water
try letting it run a couple hours
...maybe just some air still in the media?

Well I figured it out... I took off the prefilter and all the air came out. Not sure what one thing has to do with the other.
Does Eheim make a special prefilter for the 2217? Have you ever used a prefilter on the 22's?
Thanks Ned

I have not used one

I'm guessing it's a sponge
and just had air in it

I had a Fluval canister that always held air in it after cleaning
and starting. Everything was properly conncected, no leaks.
By tilting the canister from side to side a little bit , the air would work itself out.
I didn't put much scientific thought into it, don't know why it
worked but it did.
