Got a problem due to tank space and liking so many of the great fish out there.
Currently I have about 15 tropheus all in one tank ranging from 1 inch to 4 inches i have managed to keep them all in a 30 gallon tank without fighting and showing terrific colors.
time for a bigger tank, 75 gallon plus
i dont know how and i know this is awful and i am hooping to get a much bigger tank for them soon.
we almost always have a good deal on 75's
call us
Also I have about 12 calvus' and comps and i was wondering if you could put them with Discus.
not a good idea
So the question is Can Discus and calvus/comps go in the same tank?
ideal discus tank is
pH 7.0 or lower
temp 82 - 86 F
ideal Calvus tank is
pH 7.8 - 8.8
temp 77 - 80 F
ideal foods are sort of the same
wide variety of high protein
(frozen mysis, frozen brine, frozen discus formula,
tetra bits, Sera discus granules, etc.)
with good ammount of veggie flake also
the Tropheus will go great with the Calvus
chemistry - wise (same Lake)...
but your Calvus will grow slow
probably...
because Tropheus ideally should get
green Flake and Spirulina discs ONLY
will try to be more prompt with new tanks on special
