I recently aquired the above tank and wanted to see what the group thought about my stocking plan:

18" of length devoted to rock pile for

julius transriptus and Calvus Congo Black 3 of each?

18" of length devoted to shell bed for multies 6

Since this is such a tall tank I wanted to do some blue flash cyps but seems like I need a min of 48".

As an alternative I was thinking of dwarf rainbows. maybe 4-6.

Any recommendations regarding a cat, pleco or cory?

Any suggestions or alteratives? I am not concerned about breeding. I would rather keep the multi heard in check since this will be my last tank, I think.


Any other species suggestions? I have a Malawi tank that I really like. I read about the shellies and think they would be a lot of fun.

I am open to just about anything. Looking for color and activity.

For filtration, it came with an Aquaclear 70. I was thinking of adding a Fluval 203.


BTW, The trio of Pseudotropheus Saulosi and the trio of Otopharynx lithobates are doing very well. Very nice addition to the tank! Thanks.

I'd put a total of 24 fish in the tank, not just 12
