Hi All,

This is my first post here, and new to this hobby. Please bare with me.....

I have a question about water hardness, I have a 90Gal and im planning on doing a community freshwater tank, with angelfish as my highlight fish.
Other fish that i want in tank are Mollies, Rainbows, Guppies,Gourami, Tetra, Loaches.

So i read that angles need soft water 1-5, can i still put these other fish in tank?
I know that the molly are 10-25, and guppies are 10-30.
Is the water hardness level something to worry about?

Thanks
Danny

I have put all those in 1 tank
and everyone was ok

I would say
hardness is something to be aware of
but not obsessed about
like speed limits and blood pressure

first thing to do is find out what your hardness of your source water is
if it needs to be lowered
we can cut it with rainwater, distilled water or reverse osmosis water

if it needs to be raised
we can add salt or other minerals (cichlid salts or magnesium sulphate)

we sell a six in one dip strip test $17 for 25 tests
that will give you a good overview of all your water parameters
