i got a question i read that the earth eaters like to be in black water conditions . should i make my tank setup like that because the ph in it is 6.6-6.8 and i saw that they like it at like 4.5-5.3. ( i dont know if thats too low or what )and also how would i keep the ph that low with out doing the peat moss filter or oak leaves thing. could a by a type sand that would be a low ph buffer like how in saltwater sand keeps the ph high ? and what other things do i need to know about doing a blackwater tank ? thanks for the help

running very acid tanks is bad
mkay
...unless you are trying to breed something rare...
for general maintenance
pH 6.0 at the lowest and 8.3 at the highest
...anywhere around 7.0 is fine
...be aware of your pH, both tap water and tank water...
but don't over correct
unless absolutely necesary
