Got a problem due to tank space and liking so many of the great fish out there.
Currently I have about 15 tropheus all in one tank ranging from 1 inch to 4 inches i have managed to keep them all in a 30 gallon tank without fighting and showing terrific colors. i dont know how and i know this is awful and i am hooping to get a much bigger tank for them soon. Also I have about 12 calvus' and comps and i was wondering if you could put them with Discus.
So the question is Can Discus and calvus/comps go in the same tank?
Thank you
Any help is apreciated

time for a bigger tank, 75 gallon plus

we almost always have a good deal on 75's
call us

not a good idea

ideal discus tank is
pH 7.0 or lower
temp 82 - 86 F

ideal Calvus tank is
pH 7.8 - 8.8
temp 77 - 80 F

ideal foods are sort of the same
wide variety of high protein
(frozen mysis, frozen brine, frozen discus formula,
tetra bits, Sera discus granules, etc.)
with good ammount of veggie flake also

the Tropheus will go great with the Calvus
chemistry - wise (same Lake)...
but your Calvus will grow slow
probably...
because Tropheus ideally should get
green Flake and Spirulina discs ONLY

will try to be more prompt with new tanks on special

When you get the 75's in for a good price i might get one, most likely. If i decide i need one earlier and can't wait any longer, i might have to get one from some where else. Let me know when you get them in.
Thanks
Chris

Hi,
can you tell me how much it would be for a 75 gallon tank, just the tank and then the full set-up, then everything without the stand.
In the brands Perfecto and AGAThanks

Hi there,

The setup "card" below shows a basic 75 gallon AGA setup for African Cichlids. You may want to add additional filtration (especially for tropheus) and also gravel/decorations. In addition to what you see listed, we offer 25% off almost all non-livestock equiptment etc when you purchase it as part of a set up.

The fishfactory markup for tanks and tank equiptment is very small. We do this to be competative, but also in the belief that lower prices may encourage more people to enter this hobby (and yes, spend money). Further, on the occation that our dealers offer us a discount on tanks and large equiptment, we will pass these savings on to you - hense the occational large tank sales we have (usually in september/october).

Best,
Sam

Same set up without the stand:
$563.00
x.75
=$422.25

Just the basics:
Tank
Versatop
Double Light
$438.00
x.75
=$328.50

As for perfecto, I'll ask Ned... I know he likes AGA products better - but I'm betting he gets a better discount on AGA aswell.
