I ASSUME YOU MEAN YOU ARE HAVING AGGRESSION PROBLEMS.
WHEN KEEPING ANY KIND OF CICHLIDS (MALAWI IN PARTICULAR)
IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE 2 SMALL BACK UP TANKS...TO SEPERATE STUFF IN AN EMERGENCY.

1 Jewel SOMETIMES MEAN
2 C moori USUALLY NOT TOO BAD
2 Maylandia zebra "Long Pelvic" Galeraya LIKELY TO GET MEAN
2 Aulonocara sp. "Stuartgranti Maleri" (Chipoka) sunshine peacock (males) SELDOM MEAN
1 M interruptus (male) IF IT'S THE JOHANNI IT'S LIKELY MEAN
1 Pseudotropheus sp. "Acei" (Msuli) SELDOM MEAN
1 Cynotilapia afra blue reef MIGHT GET MEAN
1 Labidochromis caeruleus (Lion's Cove I) VERY SELDOM MEAN
all in a 75G (48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 3/

im pretty sure thre all males and i recently moved one of the peacocks into my 45G (36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 23 3/4) because he was getting beatin up by the other peacock NOT RARE FOR 2 MALES OF THE SAME SPECIES TO FIGHT
(now hes alone and skiddish) HE'LL GET BETTER, JUST LET HIM IN HIS OWN TANK FOR A LITTLE WHILE
. i was wondering if there was something you could suggest me doing to create a more cohabital tanks
2 THINGS COME TO MIND... ADD MORE FISH
YOU SHOULD PROBABLY HAVE 20+ IN A 75 GALLON
TRY LOWERING THE TEMPERATURE TO 71 DEGREES F.

i have no problem bringing some fish down to trade or for store credit all my fish are very healthy any help would be greatly appreciated YOU CAN TRADE THEM IN IF YOU WANT BUT YOU SHOULDN'T NEED TO

THE PICTURE YOU SENT IS A MALE MELANOCHROMIS JOHANNI CHISMULU.

pretty much any medium malawi cichlid ...a good number say 10 or 12
(and how much money should i expect to spend buying the fish you suggest) when adding new cichlids to a cichlid tank, it's usually best to add ones that are not as big as the originals, but big enough they can't get easily eaten... so about a $12-$25 size cichlid sounds about right

Just leave him there for now
and in furture cases with fish i have to remove. do i ever bring them back into the main tank? Yes but never add just 1 cichlid at a time ... they often pick on the new guy...
it also helps to disrupt the tank (lower water level...move rocks around...put in new fish while refilling) when adding the new fish

also my heater for some reason i have it set to 71 but yet the tank thermometer says about 8 degress warmer.
You should double check the heater AND double check the thermometer, big difference betwen 70 & 80 to a cold blooded animal...if they are fighting too much..try 'em at 70 degrees...

unless a fish is seriously wounded
you are often better off removing the bully
instead of removing the victim

also the reason i picked the victim out was because them fighting chasing brought unwanted agression towards him cause they saw him swimming fast and being chased that they thought hey lets all chase him see what its all about (thats what i think) so not only was it the other peacock but other fish would get interested in chasing him
