Crenicichla regani (dwarf pike cichlids) - sexed pair or unsexed trio

various pygmy sunfishes - blue spotted, black banded, everglades pygmy etc

orange montezuma crayfishes - small dwarf crays, like the ones I got from you last year, but bright orange (Dan Linton introduced me to these).

Hey,
I've caught numerous Banded Sunfish (E. obesus) in the fowl meadow area of the neponsit river drainage. I just net them from of the weedy banks of various swamps and pools. Nice little native fish.

sweet !
Thanks !
I've heard of them in a few areas in MA, but nothing that specific.
Now I've got to get my maps out and figure out where that is  (unless you want to email me directions - Ned has my address)

Not that I'm likely to go collecting before spring comes...

I live about 2 minutes from fowl meadow - it's near the blue hills in readville and milton... in the spring, contact me and we can go out there together. Its a great spot for red-fin pickerel too.

Be cool to rent canoe right on Rt. 109 in Millis and go up Charles river. I know guy has been renting canoes starting in early spring for years. Hope he is still there. Many spots must hold small fish.
I rented one once in early spring about 15 yrs ago w/ local Millis girl. He suggested we not go due to heavy current, cold and our inexperience w/ canoes. Barely made it about a mile upstream cursing at each other the whole way. We ended up flipping canoe in a spot that had boulders on one bank and mud/thorn bushes on other bank. It was ugly.....
Anyway, I'd like to try it again, probably in June or July though.
