We are preparing for the storm coming and had a couple questions.

Should we lose power, a friend mentioned they made oxygen tablets that you can put in the tank, I've not seen them anywhere has anyone used them or knows where I can find them?

Our plan is to consolidate the fish into 1 tank and we have those hand warmer packets, we are planning on putting a couple of those on either end of the tank and wrapping in blankets.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed. We are hoping we don't lose power but just in case.

...the oxygen tablets I use (Jungle bag buddys) only work in a closed plastic bag
...so no, I don't think anything like that would work

...well your largest tank will lose the slowest, so thats not a bad idea
...the blankets are not a bad idea, just remember wet insulation is about the same as no insulation
...the hand warmers really only work in a styrofoam box

...a freind of mine anticipated losing power
so
he packed all hish fish like for a shipment:
bagged them all with bag buddys
put the bags in a styro box or insulated cooler
and used heat packs (hand warmers)
...which by the way stop giving heat if they are wet
or have no exposure to air
