...I figured you're the best person around to ask:
sad but true,(kidding)
is there a vet/icthyologist in the Medway/Millis/Norfolk county area who might be able to give me some guidance for my betta?
I am the closest
Or will I just be laughed at?
no... I won't laugh
{I know, bettas aren't like rare or valuable fish, but my Bloo is nearly 9 years old, and he's a tough little guy, so I'm not willing to just give up on him.}
you have to
the previous record I've heard of with 40 years experience
is 7 years old for a Betta

he's already done more than twice as good as the average

Right now he's doing the sideways swim of impending death and has been on the downswing since a near week of starvation (hub forgot to feed him while I was at a conference this summer).
the lack of food did NOT hurt him
He's still eating, swimming and otherwise seems okay.
Anyway, any advice or referral would be appreciated.
He is just old, very old
just keep him warm and clean and fed
don't fuss
