Hello Ned, what would be the best way to keep my Ehfistrat pros BB from dying? I will be moving soon and I dont think I will be able to set up my tanks right away. I have about 5L of media from my cans. The best thing I can think of is putting it in a tub with a airstone and a powerhead or just a HOB, and feeding it some shrimp pellets every other day.
It will be in a garage(about 2 weeks) so it will be cold-not sure if that will effect the BB?

Thanks for any help Ned, ScottS

NO, don't bother ... not worth the chore
just rinse everything completely with cool water
let it drain and store it

when you set back up
we will give you a fresh bag of healthy filter bacteria
from an established aquarium filter

If it was only to be a half week or so,
I'd say it was a good idea
...in any case don't put in shrimp pellets
(that would make ammonia without fish to eat it)

OK ned, thanks
I thought the bacteria needed ammonia or it would die, thats why I was going to feed it. I thought I read that somewhere?

would NOT need that much ammonia

it does not die without ammonia,
but it does not grow
