couple notes on keeping african cichlids

generally I mix small Mbuna with medium peacocks or frontosas (peacocks and frontosas are a little whimpier than some Mbuna)
but it depends on the species

there is not a lot you NEED to know
but there is a lot that you CAN know

basically
pH should be 7.4 - 8.4
temp for baby cichlids 79 degrees F.
temp for adult cichlids 72 degrees F.
use at least 2 filter systems
change part of the water often
feed mostly green spirulina foods to herbivorous cichlids like Mbuna and Tropheus
use at least a 4 foot tank for mature Malawi cichlids (for that matter, at least a 4 foot tank for any large active fish)
