My second tank (28G) is almost cycled and I will be stocking it but all the research and education just managed to confuse me. My tap water has low kG(1-2) with pH of 7.2-7.4 so I am concerned with the kG. . I am not sure what I am going to put in there but I have two ideas.

When keeping fish, there is not a lot you NEED to know
but it is infinite what you CAN know

If you mean carbonate hardness, you can increase it with Kh plus, we sell it
or just a coral rock which we also sell

if you want to grow most live plants
you should increase the carbonate hardness

if you want to breed soft water fish like tetras or rams, let it stay low

if you have too high a carbonate hardness to breed softwater fish,
you can dilute it with R.O. water, which we sell
or dilute it with rain water

if you just want to maintain but not necessarily spawn the fish
monitor it
but don't necesarily change anything

A. Rams (not sure how many) with a school of small but colorful tetra (not sure what kind) and I would like Corys. Research however says that Corys might compete with Rams from space. I also loved the wood shrimp you showed me and like one of these guys.

you could have all the above together, not really a big deal

generally if you want to breed something
that species should be alone in it's own tank

B. Make a species tank of Rainbow fish and Corys (I like them) and maybe wood shrimp

sure !
doesn't really matter that much

If am still on a hunt for Hyphessobrycon Robertsi. They are really one of the beautiful but not common tetras.

yeh
I know them
we get them and their relatives like copelandi
we have 2 of their relatives in stock
bleeding heart and flameback bleeding heart

Thanks for your hello note...
I have to send that before I activate you to post on the forums
because I have to be sure you are a fish guy and not a spammer
