pond temperature is usually an average of day & night temperature
.... don't feed your koi when pond temp is below 52° F.
.... feed wheat germ or spring formula foods between 52° and 62°
... if you want you can feed growth or color formula foods above pond temperature of 62°
... when transfering indoor koi to an outdoor pond, don't drop the temp more than 12 ° F.
