BAS MEETING 10/21/13

It's that time of the month again. This months speaker Mike Liu comes to us from the Pioneer Valley Aquarium Society (PVAS).

His program will be Central American Cichlids.

Mike Liu has been keeping tropical for nearly 30 years. He is a member of the New England Cichlid Association and the Pioneer Valley Aquarium Society. His interest in cichlids began almost immediately with a mixed community tank housing several Central American Cichlids. Mike's fishroom consists of over 30 tanks ranging in size from 10 gallon grow out tanks to 125 mixed tanks. Currently, his main interest is in New World Cichlids with an emphasis son breeding cichlids from Central America. But, he also keeps and breeds African cichlids. Recently, Mike decided to dedicate some tank space to the endangered cichlids of the Lake Victoria basin. As you can see, his interest in cichlids is varied, and you'll see him at various club auctions throughout New England looking for unusual species.

Only one more week until our yearly fundraiser, Sunday, October 27th. Please feel free to pitch in, just because we look like we know what we are doing doesn't mean we don't need help. Who knows you might have fun.
