While most aquarists tend to focus on fish found in places like South America, Africa, & Asia there are many native (and some not so native) species that can be found right here in Massachusetts. In this workshop the members of the BAS Breeding Committee will be discussing many species of fresh water, brackish, and salt water aquarium inhabitants that can be found locally in the greater Boston area. The workshop will include an overview of different species an where they can be found. We will also be discussing collecting techniques and the state regulations for collecting fish in native waters. The workshop will provide information on how to provide the right conditions for maintaining and breeding these fish in the home aquarium.

We will also be planning a club collecting trip to bring back fish to share with our club members.

In addition to the workshop we will also be having an auction & Refreshments.

Free Admission - Open to the Public
