I bought a female pearl gourami about a month ago, and after I brought her home I realized that she has two bumps on her chin. Just an update. After I posted I tried feeding the gouramis freeze-dried bloodworms, and eventually the little guy managed to get one down (meanwhile the female was gorging herself). The next day he was completely better, and is now very colorful. I think the pair may even spawn soon.

It'll be several days at least before I can get out there. In the meantime I'll keep and eye on him and see if he gets better.
